Cure for Cookie: Portrait Session

Go. Fight. Cure.

I could not have been more happy to photograph this group of women. They are all nurses in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit of the Penn State Hershey Medical Center who are walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day. Over the course of three days they will walk 60 miles in an effort to raise money for breast cancer. The money they raise will fund national research, large public health outreach programs, as well as local community and affiliate support and outreach programs. Nicole Cook, pictured below in pink, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 37, she is fighting for a cure so that one day others will not have to go through what her and so many other women are experiencing.
